Casa Las Nubes ¡NUEVO! Cabaña/jacuzzi Whatcom frente al lago

Great for family. We enjoyed the quiet hideaway in the beautiful corner of Lake Whatcom. The two-story layout provides separate spaces for members and activities. The access to the lake is small but lovely for water level view.

The view of Lake Whatcom from the living room, kitchen, and outside deck is fantastic, but we had to leave the property after two nights (of a four-night stay) because the alarm on the water purification system went off - with constant loud beeping. I notified the host of the problem immediately, and my husband researched the water purification system online (the system uses filters AND a UV light to kill bacteria from the lake water). The host tried to get a technician out to resolve the problem, but the technician was not available to come out that day. We did not want to risk our health by using potentially unsafe drinking water, so when we learned the technician was unavailable, we felt we had no choice but to leave. We asked for a refund for two nights, but the host refused saying the system had been serviced recently and was working. The technician apparently came out the following day was able to turn the alarm off - but the alarm isn't the problem - the alarm is notifying the occupant there is a problem with the system. The host continued to assert there was no problem with the system and no refund was appropriate. It was a very disappointing experience for us.

Great spot on the water.

Beautiful place to enjoy nature Positive: Beautiful, quiet home and location. Comfortable beds and great kitchen. Hot tub and fire pit made for nice touches. Owners made themselves available and checked in regularly. Negative: Water pressure was pretty weak, so showers were hot but a little disappointing.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hosts were very helpful and attentive. Location and access to lake and lake ament Positive: Loved the view! The outdoor space and amenities were wonderful! Negative: The kitchen supplies could use updated and refreshed. The pans were either scratched or had almost broken handles on some of the pans. Cutting boards and knives could use an update.
